The Joy of Learning

It has been very rewarding for me to take a class on Japan's influence on the West and the West's influence on Japan.  For example, I had no idea how the French Impressionists were captivated by Japanese art (particularly Japanese wood block prints.)   They were first introduced to it during a World Fair in 1889.  In this first post, I will simply share some slides from my class as a test to make sure this blog is up and running.  Later Terry and I will both make random posts as we go.
